Make a little home of your own

This site runs on LibCard — free, open source, and yours to make your own. Copy the setup prompt into your coding agent to get started, or read the guide.

Help me build and publish my own personal website with LibCard: https://github.com/crs48/LIBCard.

First read the setup guide at https://raw.githubusercontent.com/crs48/LIBCard/main/docs/AGENT_SETUP.md, then follow it using the tools available in this coding environment. If you cannot fetch it, tell me and ask me to paste it instead of guessing.

Use my connected GitHub repository if it is suitable. Inspect it before changing anything, preserve existing work, and never push to the upstream LibCard repository. If there is already an app or website here, ask where I want LibCard to live before replacing or moving anything.

Guide me conversationally. Start with a few short questions about my name, bio, links, and the look I want. Reuse details I have already provided, suggest sensible defaults, and let me refine the result after seeing a preview. Only include contact details I want made public.

Offer the compact Classic card or the richer Personal home design. Use the shared config for descriptions, project icons and screenshots, writing, services, and experiment sections. Preserve my destinations and integration choices when changing layouts; use actual assets and copy I provide or approve.

Set up the site, customize libcard.config.yaml, and replace the demo owner's content and services with mine. Use pnpm, configure the correct GitHub Pages URL and base path, and check the build and mobile layout. Show me the result, then help publish it to my repository when I am ready. Use any publishing authorization I have already given; otherwise ask after the preview is ready. If GitHub access or hosting settings need my input, explain the exact next step and keep working on what you can.

Support installed designs and custom layouts through the documented @libcard/layout API and design:* commands when useful. Keep authored designs in designs/local/ and preserve design lockfiles during engine updates.

Finish with my live URL, what you verified, and how I can update my content later. Please start by inspecting this workspace and asking for the details you still need.

Is it really free?

Yes — it runs on GitHub Pages with no server and no subscription.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Add a CNAME and set site.base to "/".

Can I embed content?

Yup. Video, maps, music, forms, and more.

Notes on a more human internet

xNet is my prototype of the internet tools I wish existed. I'm building a way to make local-first apps that feel like personal software: yours to tinker with, pull apart, and fit together like Lego.

Your data lives on your device. The apps work offline, you choose what to share, and you can change tools without leaving your stuff behind. I want to see what people make when software can grow around their lives and the little communities they care about.

Explore xNet, read the stories, or tinker with the code.
